Tim Ellis

Tim lives in Mossman, in tropical Far North Queensland, Australia since 2005.

Prior to this Tim lived in London and worked for 20 years as an Art Director in the UK film and television industry. He has studied Fine Art in the UK and Holland to masters degree and since in Australia has immersed himself in the art practices: designing interiors, as the Art Coordinator and Gallery Manager at the Mossman Gorge Centre (an Indigenous gallery showcasing local Kuku Yalanji artists), as an event coordinator and university lecturer. In 2018, Tim commenced his role as the Arts and Culture Officer at Douglas Shire Council.

 

Since 2011 Tim has exhibited in Cairns, Brisbane, Gympie, Hinchinbrook, Texas, Port Douglas, Mossman, Atherton and Chinchilla. His work mediums are paint, digital and video.
